Our Vision

What began in 2007 as a small-scale effort of about 10 volunteers, has evolved into a sophisticated organization with a comprehensive range of services.

Our Mission

Misameach is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to lifting the spirits of children and adults who are hospitalized, bedridden, or have physical disabilities.

Our Goal

Our Family Center offers a variety of community services to adults, teenagers and children. The facility is open and available to the community at no cost and without restriction or discrimination.
We provide a safe haven for families to meet, relax, and recharge, amidst challenging circumstances, such as:

  • Special needs
  • Chronic, mental, or terminal illness
  • Divorce
  • Loss

“What is a smile on the face of a child with illness worth?
At Misameach, we believe it’s priceless.”

Happy Families

My kids enjoyed the experience so much! The moment they walked in their faces lit up and they kept going from one exciting thing to the next. They could not get enough! The 2 volunteers were fantastic!

After the volunteers left, my father said, 'That was beautiful. It added 10 years to my life!'

T.K.

We've been going through such a tough period lately and the chizuk this gave me and I'm sure my kids too is sooo appreciated. Keep up the great work, there are no words.

Thank you so much for the hours of fun and entertainment our family had last night. It brought reprieve, smiles and Simcha to us all.
But most of all it gave us the support and encouragement that there is someone out there who TRULY CARES!
Thank you!

A lively musical crew was sent to bring a smile to my father who is homebound and limited due to his illness. His face lit up and his mood greatly improved and he was even humming after being uplifted by the musical performance.

The Misameach DVD library has provided much relief and enabled a Chazkeinu member going through a difficult period to remain home and not be confined to the hospital.

A child visiting from out of town was asked what his favorite part of the trip was. He automatically answered “The Center! – It was awesome!”

B.Z.

Your kindness, compassion and empathy infused light and simcha into what could have been a bleak and difficult experience.

S.B.

Each kindness, both big and even those seemingly small,
Encouraged us,
Sustained us,
Made the journey more bearable!

We never fully appreciated the power of song (negina) until we experienced it firsthand through your volunteers.

There are simply no words to describe the overwhelming love and gratitude that expands the heart of a parent witnessing the care shown to their child by total strangers. There was some kind of magical magnetism at work.
